Dinner
I just made individual salmon loafs for dinner. I probably haven't made them in 2-3 years and my husband was pesting for them all weekend. I wasn't feeling good enough to make them this weekend but today I feel much better. I also made oatmeal raisin cookies.

restate
Let me restate what I said, after paul took a bite of the Mexican chili chocolate cupcake (which he couldn't eat) he ate the chocolate raspberry cupcake.
crazy cupcakes
I was excited to try our cupcakes and I usually enjoy different flavors of things. Laurie had the german chocolate one, I ate the cherry chocolate chip and paul tried the Mexican chili one which he took one bite of and said "Mom don't try this!!" It was very very very spicy and weird tasting and he couldn't eat it, luckly I had the chocolate raspberry one and it was very good. Andi when you are down we may have to make a trip to the cupcake store, although they didn't have as many cupcakes as I expected. They also had cakes, and lots of cookies.

books & cupcakes

Went to the used book store this afternoon to get a copy of Pride and Prejudice for the reading group, I love that place. Moriah, I found a new author you may like - Kristiana Gregory. She has written several series and also some books about people like Cleopatra and others only she has the stories when they were ages 12-15. sounded interesting to me. Mammy had bought one of her stories about an orphan and I was looking for the second in the series, unfortunately they didn't have any of her books right now. Then we went to the cupcake store (voted best cupcakes in Orange county for 17 years in a row). I had never been there before and it was really hard to find. I got a German Chocolate, a raspberry chocolate, a cherry chocolate chip and a Mexican Chili chocolate. Yea, I was craving chocolate. Good thing Paul and Laurie will be here to help me eat them.

fairy garden
Since I can't do much gardening anymore, and I really miss it, I thought I'd try a fairy garden in my flowerboxes on the front porch. The following are pictures of my first try. The walkway is made of sea shells the grandkids got a couple of months ago at the beach. The water is blue glass beads and the plants are little star flower ground cover and several different catsus (ones with out the prickly things). The fairies and the house I got from a catalog. I got several other houses but they may be too big for the flowerboxes. What do you think - cute?

flowerbox
I've been toying with the idea of making a fairy garden but keep thinking it will get ruined if we have a hard rain. So I might try one in one of my flowerboxes. I bought a fairy village awhile back and have been anxious to put it up. Hopefully pictures will follow soon.

old
My 90 year old mother has decided to clean out some of her closets. We have been talking about this for years. Yesterday she showed me 5 little outfits she kept from when I was a little girl. They are cute and after she shows them to my sister she will give them to me and I'll take a picture or two.
